Curcuris sits in the eastern part of Marmilla, on the foot of Mount Arci, surrounded by forage fields and vineyards.
On a hill nearby the village, there is a country church dedicated to the Blessed Holy Virgin, Our Lady of the Assumption, erected in 1380 in Gothic style, today within an ample fence, closed by a big wooden portal.
In the picturesque historic centre of the village it is still possible to admire typical High Marmilla stone houses and coloured murals realized by Sardinian artists.
Among the most important traditions there are the shearing Festival, which takes place still every year early in the summer, and the feast in honour of Our Lady of the Assumption, the 15th of August.
